The slimming programme at Somatheeram includes medicated herbal powder massage and herbal oil massage. Adhering to the specific diet prescribed during the treatment forms one of the essential parts of the programme. Other treatment procedures include medicated steam bath, intake of herbal juices, herbal tea etc. 14 and 21 nights packages are available for this programme. Please Note: Each of the packages includes the following services for the duration of stay: Accommodation as per the category of booking. Daily Ayurvedic treatments. Ayurvedic vegetarian full board meal. Initial, daily and final consultation by the doctor. Free medicines during the treatment period. Composition of an individual Ayurveda diet menu. The following services are provided complimentary along with every package booking: Daily Yoga classes. One half-day backwater tour in a country boat ( only for package booking of 14 days or more). Airport transfer from Thiruvananthapuram. German, Italian, French and Russian interpreters. Any other services will be stated clearly along with the respective package. Duration of the treatments may vary according to the direction of the doctor and process may change depending upon the patient's body condition. Final decision of the programme will be taken by the consulting doctor.

Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village is located on a peaceful hillock above Chowara Beach, approximately 9 km south of Kovalam in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Surrounded by tropical greenery and close to the Arabian Sea, the resort offers a quiet setting for physician-led Ayurvedic treatments, Panchakarma, yoga and restorative stays.

How to reach

Airways Connectivity

The nearest airport is Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV), approximately 21 km from Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village and around 30 minutes by road, depending on traffic. Airport transfers can be arranged for a comfortable arrival and departure. Transfers are complimentary for guests staying 7 nights or more, as per the applicable package conditions.

Railway Connectivity

The nearest major railway station is Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station, approximately 25 km from the resort. The station is well connected to major cities and destinations across India. Transfers between the railway station and Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village can be arranged upon request.

Roadway Connectivity

Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village is located near Chowara Beach, approximately 9 km south of Kovalam, and is well connected by road to Thiruvananthapuram and surrounding destinations. The resort can be reached by taxi, private car or local transport. Transfers can also be arranged upon request.

  • Reservations are confirmed against advance payment.
  • Package inclusions and treatments are subject to the programme booked and the Ayurvedic physician’s assessment.
  • Ayurvedic treatments and medicines are prescribed according to the guest’s individual health condition and body constitution.
  • Airport transfers from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport are complimentary for stays of 7 nights or more, subject to the applicable package conditions.
  • Mandatory supplement charges apply on 24th and 31st December.
  • International airfare, visa fees, travel insurance, optional sightseeing and excursions, and additional treatments not prescribed within the package are excluded unless specifically stated otherwise.
  • Insurance reimbursement is subject to the terms, eligibility and approval of the guest’s individual insurance provider.

    • Free cancellation is available up to 30 days before the scheduled arrival date.

    Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are charged in full.

    Any applicable refunds, amendments or cancellations are subject to the booking terms confirmed at the time of reservation.
