Located at Chowara Beach with over 15 acres of greenery all around, the resort sits on a hillock 9 km south of the famous Kovalam Beach. The paved paths amid coconut trees and green pastures lined with yellow marigolds make it feel like a passage to rejuvenation.

The terrain is more even, making it easier to walk around the property, especially for senior citizens and guests with knee pain or injuries.

AyurUniverse and Manaltheeram have been partnered for nearly 10 years and helped many guests with a smooth experience. We will arrange for an online doctor consultation, smooth booking experience, coordinate your airport transfer, coordinate insurance claims and provide any additional support during your stay.

Wellness Approach

Manaltheeram offers traditional ayurveda, ayurvedic diet, daily yoga sessions and meditation according to your doshas, ie, ayurvedic body type. The goal is to bring balance to your doshas.

Your ayurvedic doctor takes a thorough consultation on your first day to understand your body type, general health, lifestyle and habits and plans your program accordingly.

Your schedule will include daily yoga sessions, various therapies like full body massages, shirodhara, kizhi etc, ayurvedic medicines, vegetarian prescribed diets, meditation sessions and daily consultations to monitor your progress through the program. The medications prescribed are.

Food

Manaltheeram offers a vegetarian buffet of International and Indian dishes, raw salads and juices that are categorized based on ayurvedic body type such as Vata, Pitta and Kapha. After your arrival, the doctors will help you understand your body type, goal of your program and how you can maximize your benefits of the program through diet, yoga and therapies.

However, non-vegetarian dishes are available on request and at additional cost for leisure guests. Generally, Panchakarma programs restrict it during the entire duration of the treatment. Kindly consult with your doctor during consultation if this is permitted as per your program.

Culture

Manaltheeram often has cultural performances like traditional Kerala dance styles like Kathakali and ancient martial arts performances called Kalaripatuu. Guests staying 21 nights or over can also experience a house boat tour to create a holistic wellness travel experience.

Health Insurance

Being an NABH Certified ayurveda hospital, insurance claims can be reimbursed for ailment management programs. Cashless insurance is not available. AyurUniverse’s team will coordinate with the Manaltheeram team to provide you with all supporting documents.
